PLAN FOR THE FUTURE WITH HOME ELECTRIFICATION
We install EV charging stations, electrical heat pumps, sub-panels, and upgrade electrical wiring to make your home safer, more cost-effective, and compliant with State regulations.
WHY ELECTRIFY YOUR HOME?
The BUILD (Building Initiatives for Low-emissions Development) program was put in place by the State of California to improve safety, meet decarbonization goals, and help the climate.
- By 2030 gas heating and water heating equipment will no longer be sold in CA.
- Sonoma and Marin Counties: As of 2022 all new buildings, including ADUs, will be built to be all electric.
With these requirements, gas appliances and parts will become harder to service and less common. If you need to replace an appliance now, it’s best to go electric to make the most out of your investment. Some electrical appliances will require updating wiring and outlets to 240 volt from 120 volt. This may change the energy capacity needs of your home, so a SPAN panel may be a cost effective option. We are here to help you navigate these decisions and make the best choice for your needs.
- Safety: gas appliances pose health risks due to leaks
- Cost effective: according to the State of CA energy commission, electrical appliances can be 3-5 times more efficient than gas appliances
- Allows for energy independence: electrical appliances work with solar systems and electrical storage options so that you can make, store, and use energy to power all of your home needs
