If you decide to go up to your roof to take a closer look, take all the necessary precautions to prevent accidents, and always prioritize having a professional do it for you. An above-ground inspection allows you to locate worn-out flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights, which is the most common cause of water intrusion. 

• Check Your Gutters and Downspouts
